Earlier this month we relaunched the South Lincolnshire Food Enterprise Zone with two exciting events focused on celebrating the growth of our agri-food cluster and the opportunities now available on site. From expert insights to in-person connections, the two days offered a brilliant platform to showcase everything the SLFEZ has to offer.

Webinar: Exploring the Global Food Supply Chain

On the 2nd of April we held a webinar hosted by Sarah Louise Fairburn, the Founder of Imp and Maker, with the CEO of Worldwide Fruit, Steve Maxwell, as the keynote speaker. The session explored the shifting dynamics of the global food supply chain, highlighting the strategic strength of South Lincolnshire within that landscape and the benefits of being part of the growing food cluster here. Attendees also heard from experts at Savills, Pygott & Crone, and the University of Lincoln, with a panel discussion chaired by Janet Bellamy featuring voices from across the industry including local government, food producers, and consultants.

Launch of Phase II: SLFEZ Open Day at The Hub

The following day, 3rd April, we marked the launch of Phase II of the SLFEZ with an Open Day at The Hub. The event was all about celebrating the incredible opportunities now available for businesses on our site. Guests had the chance to connect with members of Team Lincolnshire, meet with representatives from Lincolnshire County Council, South Holland District Council and the University of Lincoln, and explore the remarkable facilities at the National Centre for Food Manufacturing and The Hub. With tours, networking and a brunch to round off the morning, it was a fantastic opportunity to see first-hand what’s happening at the heart of our region’s agri-tech and food innovation hub.
