Lasting legacy left by Greater Lincolnshire LEP as functions are transferred to councils
A mayoral devolution deal for Greater Lincolnshire was confirmed in September 2024 and this year will see the formation of a county combined authority and voting for Greater Lincolnshire’s first Mayor.
As a valued supporter of the Greater Lincolnshire LEP, the Chair Neal Juster and Chief Executive Ruth Carver would like to offer their heartfelt and personal thanks to you and your organisations for your engagement with the Greater Lincolnshire LEP over the past 14 years. Our collective ambition and success in growing the Lincolnshire economy together leaves a legacy with much to be proud of.
From 1st February 2025 staff and functions transferred to the new Greater Lincolnshire County Combined Authority (GLCCA) and Lincolnshire County Council with strategic functions to be operated from the GLCCA.
Business support will continue to be provided by the Business Lincolnshire Growth Hub. The UK Food Valley, Careers Hub, and Skills Bootcamps will continue to operate at a Greater Lincolnshire level and be delivered by Lincolnshire County Council. Activity and contacts remain unchanged.
A crucial part of the next stage will be the creation of a new Greater Lincolnshire Economic Advisory Panel, which will be a forum for the Mayor and the GLCCA to shape following the mayoral elections in May onwards. Its role will be to shape a compelling economic strategy to attract new investment, ensure a strong business voice, and advocate at a national level.
